The project uses PC Model Panel-Type Radiators designed for a 200MVA, 220kV oil-immersed power transformer.
Each radiator group is configured with 32 panels. The panels are 535mm wide, with a 3500mm center distance and 45mm pitch.
The radiator panels are manufactured from 1.0mm steel plate. The welded panel structure forms the cooling passages through which transformer oil circulates, allowing heat generated during transformer operation to be transferred to the surrounding air.
These fixed parameters define the radiator configuration supplied for this project.
The radiator surface receives a multi-stage industrial coating treatment:
Shot Blasting → 3 Primer Coats → 2 Finish Coats
The final coating is grey.
The treatment is intended for outdoor transformer installations, providing a protective coating for the radiator surface during transportation, installation and service.
Radiator sealing is verified through a 200kPa (2 bar) underwater air-tightness test.
The test pressurizes the radiator assembly and immerses it in water to check the integrity of the welded structure and connections. The procedure helps identify potential leakage before the radiators are shipped to the project site.
The radiators are installed with a 200MVA power transformer in a 220kV substation serving the Uzbekistan power grid.
At this voltage level, the transformer operates as part of the high-voltage transmission system. The radiator assembly provides the external heat-dissipation surface required by the oil cooling system.
The project represents an overseas application of Panel-Type Transformer Radiators for high-voltage grid infrastructure.
Radiastar manufactured the radiator assemblies in China and supplied them for installation in Uzbekistan.
The defined configuration combines:
PC Model + 535mm Panel Width + 3500mm Center Distance + 32 Panels/Group + 45mm Pitch + 1.0mm Steel Plate
with 200kPa underwater air-tightness testing and a multi-layer industrial coating system.
This project adds Uzbekistan 220kV / 200MVA to Radiastar’s international transformer radiator application portfolio.
