Radiastar supplied customized PC Model Panel-Type Radiators for an 180MVA, 220kV central substation in Mongolia. The radiators are installed on the power transformer used to step up electricity generated by power-generation units for grid connection.
The project required 535mm-wide radiator panels, 3000mm center distance, 32 panels per group, 1.0mm steel plate, multi-layer industrial coating and 200kPa underwater air-tightness testing.

The PC Model Panel-Type Radiator provides heat dissipation for large-capacity oil-immersed power transformers.
For this Mongolia project, Radiastar configured the radiator with a 535mm panel width and 3000mm center distance. Each radiator group contains 32 panels, with a 45mm panel pitch.
The radiator panels are manufactured from 1.0mm steel plate and welded to provide a sealed cooling structure for transformer oil circulation.
The radiator surface is treated with:
Shot Blasting → 3 Primer Coats → 2 Finish Coats
The final finish is industrial grey, providing additional corrosion protection for outdoor transformer installations.
Every radiator assembly for this project is subjected to a 200kPa (2 bar) underwater air-tightness test.
This test helps verify the integrity of the radiator panels and welded joints before shipment and installation.
The 180MVA transformer is used in a 220kV central substation serving a coal and energy-chemical industrial base in Mongolia.
The transformer steps up generated electricity for grid connection, while the Radiastar radiator system provides the required external cooling surface for stable transformer operation.
Radiastar successfully supplied the PC Model Panel-Type Radiators for this 180MVA, 220kV Mongolia substation project, providing a customized transformer cooling solution for a large-capacity grid-connected power transformer.
Radiastar supplied PC Model Panel-Type Radiators for an 180MVA power transformer.
The radiator panel width is 535mm, with a 3000mm center distance and 45mm panel pitch.
The specified configuration is 32 panels per group, depending on the cooling arrangement.
The radiators are tested at 200kPa (2 bar) using an underwater air-tightness test.
The radiator receives shot blasting, three primer coats and two finish coats, with a grey industrial finish.
